Radicchio is a beautiful Italian heirloom vegetable that shares physical similarities with both red cabbage and lettuce, yet stands alone. Radicchio, also known as chicory, is named after the Veneto region in Northern Italy, where they are commonly grown. It can be grown and harvested early for loose-leaf salads or can be left to form a compact head.
It is packed full of vitamins and nutrients and can be enjoyed fresh in a salad, or cooked through a huge range of meals or on its own.
