Golden Zucchini Seeds

Golden Zucchini is an absolute stunner to grow in your squash collection and can add a beautiful hit of colour to any summer dish. Not only is the colour eye catching, it has the flavour to match it.

Picked young, the fruits are slightly sweeter and more tender, picked larger, they can be stuffed and roasted. These fruits are best when they are picked at around 15-20cm. Picking regularly encourages more fruit.

Like all squash, it is important to water from the base as they are susceptible to powdery mildew and mould when leaves are wet.

How to sow?

Direct – approximately 20mm deep.

Germination

14-21 days for seedlings to emerge. Keep soil moist and cover with a hessian cloth, wood or cardboard to reduce evaporation whilst waiting for germination.
