Burpless cucumber is a productive variety of cucumber that produces thin-skinned and sweeter fruit that grows to approximately 20-30cm. It is the only seed in the Charlie’s Patch range that is not an heirloom.
Burpless cucumber makes a great addition to your sandwiches and salads and is a delicious crop to snack on and enjoy fresh.
Cucumbers grow along a vine that can either climb or spread across the ground. Charlie’s recommendation is to provide it with a trellis or climbing frame to grow them vertically and save space whilst also keeping them protected from floor-dwelling pests! This method also helps to reduce the risk of powdery mildew.
Cucumbers are frost tender so sow seeds after any risk of frost has passed.
