All Seasons Carrot
This much-loved root vegetable is a great variety of carrot to grow at home and I think All Seasons carrots are a MUST in every single garden! I find growing carrots to be so much fun and always get excited when I pull one up. These carrots are a hardy, disease tolerant variety that can be grown all year round in most of Australia.
Roots can grow up to 20cm long. These carrots make a great companion plant for other Charlie’s Patch seeds such as coriander, lettuce & tomato.
Ensure soil is soft and well-cultivated before sowing seeds.

All Year Round Lettuce
All Year Round lettuce is a crisp and tasty, buttery lettuce that can be grown all year round. Outer leaves can be harvested at any time, or tight heart of lettuce can be harvested once formed. It is a slower variety to bolt, and forms heads up to 20cm in size.
Keep protected from pests such as slugs and snails while the plant is establishing itself.
Plant in intervals to ensure constant harvests. Harvest by picking outer leaves or by cutting from approximately 1 inch above the soil to enjoy multiple harvests and allow for the plant to regrow.

Beetroot
Beetroot Detroit is a favourite root vegetable to grow. It is most widely used for its baby leaves as a tasty and nutritious addition to salad greens, and of course its delicious, rich, purple root. Baby leaves can begin to be cut from 30 days, however, try to avoid cutting all the leaves off the plant at any one point.
This hardy variety is also resistant to downy mildew.
Beetroot will be ready to harvest from 55-90 days from sowing. Seeds may benefit from washing in warm running water. Dry seeds again at a maximum temperature of 25°C before sowing.

Black Cherry Tomato
Black Cherry tomatoes are a beautiful heirloom cherry tomato to grow in your garden with a rich, black-purple skin. These tomatoes offer a delightfully sweet and juicy flavour with every bite. They make the perfect snack for eating straight off the plant or raw in salads, or even as a companion to other summer vegetables in a roast vegetable mix.
It is a vigorous grower and highly productive, with good disease tolerance. Black Cherry tomatoes are an indeterminate variety that require staking and take approximately 80 days to reach maturity.
For best results, do not water plant from above. Frost sensitive.

Broccoli
This variety of broccoli, ‘Di Ciccio’, is a traditional Italian heirloom variety that produces 3-4 small main heads in addition to an abundance of side shoots. The constant harvests of side shoots increase the harvest period, leaving you with more homegrown broccoli harvests for longer! The leaves of this productive plant can also be used like kale.

Brussels sprouts
You either love them or hate them, but these Brussels sprouts will definitely find their way to your love list! This variety of Brussels sprouts, Long Island Improved, grows up to 80cm tall with a beautiful medium sprout size with great flavour. This variety is also a long producing variety, so you are bound to have a good season!

Coriander
Also known as 'Chinese Parsley'; coriander is an extremely versatile addition to your garden. The seeds and leaves can be used fresh in salads, cooking or medicinally.
A highly attractive plant for pollinators such as bees when left to flower and its leaves are rich in Vitamin C. Attracts bees to the garden.

Curly Parsley
This hardy herb serves as a great plant to have in the garden due to its reliability and fast-growing nature. Curly parsley can be used as both a great accompanying herb to a range of dishes or as a delicious garnish. It grows frilly leaves and has a milder flavour than flat-leaf parsley.
Like most other herbs, curly parsley can be used fresh or dried and grows well in both pots and in the garden.

Kale - Black Toscana
A beautiful Heirloom variety of kale, Black Toscana kale will make a great addition to your garden! Growing to a height of 60cm, this variety can be picked and eaten fresh or even cooked up for tasty kale chips.

Kale - Red Russian
A striking display of colour, Red Russian kale is an heirloom brassica to be enjoyed in your garden.
It grows up to 75cm and has beautiful red/ dark green tinged serrated leaves that have purple-red veins and a slightly sweet flavour. This kale can be eaten at any stage with the baby leaves best enjoyed fresh and old leaves can be cooked like cabbage.

Kent Pumpkin
The Kent pumpkin (or Jap pumpkin) is a staple heirloom vegetable in most roast vegetable assortments everywhere you go. This delicious and hardy squash grows vigorously and can spread horizontally or climb vertically if it has adequate support.
This crop does not require a nutrient-rich soil to grow successfully, and fruits can be stored for up to 6 months if stored correctly.

Italian Basil
Italian basil (or Genovese basil) is considered to be THE basil for authentic Italian cuisine. Not only does basil go well with tomato outside of the garden, but inside, you can plant it with your tomato plants as a companion plant to help in repelling pests such as hornworms and aphids. Leaves can be picked and eaten fresh, or dried for later use.

Romanesco is not only a great vegetable to eat, but also one of the most mesmerising brassicas to grow. Extraordinary lime green florets grow off this beautiful brassica, forming a large head full of hypnotising ‘Fibonacci’ fractals.

Rocket
Rocket is a great salad green for all gardens known for its distinguishable nutty and peppery flavours. Rocket Pronto has a flavoursome 'nutty' cress like presence and can be used in both salads and as a garnish.
Its serrated leaves make it stand out from other winter greens growing in the garden with a beautiful green colour. It is a very quick growing variety of rocket and one that will give you plenty to harvest from.
Harvesting can begin from 4 weeks (28 days), but ideally left to 50 days before beginning harvests. Like other salad greens, pick from the outer leaves to ensure a constant harvest. Pinch out any flowers to extend the harvest season.

Tatsoi
Similar to its cousin Pak Choi, Tatsoi is a popular Asian green that forms beautiful dark green leaves that grow low and out with white stems.
